Day 1

Day 2

Transfer to Yala National Park.  In the afternoon, delve deeper into the cultural history of the region with a visit to the ancient Sithulpawwa monastery, tucked away in the heart of Yala. Dating back to the 2nd century BC and built by King Kavantissa, this remarkable monastery is a lesser-known treasure that offers insight into Sri Lanka’s rich Buddhist heritage. The journey to Sithulpawwa is equally fascinating, as it combines cultural exploration with wildlife sightings, making this a truly unique experience that blends history, spirituality, and the raw beauty of nature.

Yala National Park

Day 3

Full day safari in Yala National Park, renowned for its rich biodiversity, is home to one of the highest densities of leopards in the world, along with majestic elephants, sloth bears, and an incredible variety of bird species. Begin your day with an early morning safari led by an experienced guide, as you set out in search of the elusive leopards and other wildlife that roam this vast wilderness. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Nuwaraeliya

Day 4

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to Nuwara Eliya, a journey that takes approximately 2 ½ hours. Upon arrival, enjoy an evening stroll through the charming town of Nuwara Eliya. During your walk, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the vibrant local market and bustling clothing bazaar. In addition, you’ll encounter several fascinating colonial-era landmarks, Hotels built in colonial era, the historic Nuwara Eliya Post Office, the prestigious Hill Club.

Horton Plain National Park

Day 5

In the morning, head to Horton Plains National Park to experience Sri Lanka’s rich biodiversity and wildlife in the misty mountain forests. Leopards roam along the roads through the savanna grasslands, and rare birds adapted to the unique mountainous ecosystem are highlights of the journey.

Kandy from Nuwaraeliya

Day 6

Transfer to Kandy from Nuwaraeliya in approximately 3hrs drive. In the evening explore the historic city of Kandy, the last capital of the ancient kings of Sri Lanka. Discover the sacred Temple of the Tooth, which houses the revered relic of the Buddha’s tooth. Stroll around the scenic Kandy Lake, visit the Royal Botanical Gardens, and immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage and traditional arts of this UNESCO World Heritage site. Enjoy a cultural dance performance and explore the vibrant markets, where you can find local crafts and souvenirs.

Day 7 ,8,9

Transfer to Sigiriya for three nights. No visit to Sri Lanka is complete without experiencing the rich heritage of this region. During your stay, you’ll have the chance to explore some of the country’s most iconic historical sites, such as the ancient Dambulla Cave Temple and the UNESCO-listed ruins of Polonnaruwa.

A guided cycling tour will take you through rural villages, past serene irrigation lakes, lush rice fields, and traditional chena cultivation lands, offering you an intimate glimpse into the everyday life of a Sri Lankan village

Visit the ancient rock fortress, often referred to as the Eighth Wonder of the World, and marvel at its architectural ingenuity. Explore the surrounding gardens and frescoes, Visit the cave temple at Pidurangala for a stunning view of Sigiriya Rock. After that visit Anuradhapura ancient city full of marvelous architectural monuments and sculptures allied with Buddhism. In the evening Visit Minneriya National Park, located about a 45-minute drive away, to observe wild Asian elephants. Drive through herds of majestic elephants and observe them in their natural habitat. This unforgettable experience will leave you in awe of these magnificent creatures and the
park’s stunning scenery.
